Frequently Asked Questions

Where and when are your services?

We meet in the former East Dorset Congregational Church buildings, 16 Village Street, at the intersection of Village Street and Mad Tom Road in East Dorset, VT early Sunday morning (8:30 and 9:00).  We then travel to the former Arlington Community Church building at 26 Covered Bridge Road in West Arlington, VT, which is right between Rte 313 and River Road.  If you pass though the beautiful and historic covered bridge in Arlington, you are there! The services in West Arlington are at 11:30 and we have a short Fellowship and Bible Study at noon with light refreshments.

Why are you called "New Testament Baptist Church"?

We study and teach all of the Bible, both the Old Testament and the New Testament.  However, it was in the New Testament that Jesus Christ established and defined what a church should be and how it should function.  We want to be the church that Jesus intended us to be and follow His instructions as set forth in the New Testament of the Bible.

What does your church believe?

We simply believe the Bible.  The Bible teaches the sinfulness of man, the need for a Saviour, the promised Messiah throughout the Old Testament, the recorded birth of Jesus Christ, His sinless life, His substitutionary death on Calvary, His resurrection from the dead, and His commands to the church to go and preach the gospel around the world, proclaiming salvation to all men.

Do you offer Sunday School for kids?

Yes! Sunday School classes are available at 9:00 at the East Campus (East Dorset) and at 11:00 on the West Campus (West Arlington).  We also plan to host Vacation Bible Schools at both campuses in the summer.

I have more questions.  Can I call or email you?

Absolutely!  We would love to visit with you in person, by phone, or through email. You can email the pastor directly at NTBaptistVT@gmail.com
